The King of the Trees was written by William D. Burt. It was
copyrighted in 1998.
Rolin, a young redheaded boy, is chased by two green-cloaked
men into the forest where he finds a weird tree and climbs it.
He is transported to another world called Lucambra. That's where
the men are from.
When Rolin finds out he may be king of this new world, he sets
out on an adventure to the island of Luralin, where the evil
Felgor attacks and sets the island on fire. In the end, Rolin's
success or failure will determine the fate of people everywhere.
I enjoyed the climax of the story, when they went to the island
of Luralin and how they were brave when Felgor attacked.

"A Imagination Inspirer
all will Love!"
This is a wonderful book
that you and your children will absolutely love. We read this every night
together before going to bed and every night I was begged if we could read
just one more chapter. This imaginative book will draw you and your children
in and you will love the characters you come to know and the places you
will go. I highly recommend this book and we are anxiously awaiting another
to follow.

"A wonderful book for
all ages! Got to read this one!"
This book is by far
better than C.S. Lewis's "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe." I
read this book to my four year old son and eight year old daughter.
They loved it as much as I did! Each character is developed well,
and the plot surpasses any that we have read this year. If you only
read one book, please let it be this one. This is the perfect gift
for any age, especially pre-teen and teen. These days, they seem to be
hungry for the drama and excitement that each chapter is filled with. Rolin's
adventure to find himself as well as his purpose leads him to discover
not only a world that he did not know existed all around him, but also
how important he is to that world and others. Do you have a sythan-ar?
When you finish this book, please write to me and share your thoughts.

My 11 year old son is
an avid reader. He's read the Chronicles of Narnia and each Harry
Potter book at least 3 times. But someone bought your book, "The King of
the Trees," and he says he likes it better than all the others. Now we
have to go get the second book! Keep up the good work! Thanks!

"The King of the Trees
is a very well written novel/story!"
I have read William
Burt's book, "The King of the Trees" and have enjoyed it so much we are
reading it after dinner with the family. It is a wonderful story
of a boy with destiny and the providential circumstances to bring this
boy back to his people. I highly recommend this book for ages 13+.

"An excellent choice
for all ages!"
The King of the Trees
is a children's story of magic, imagination and fire-breathing dragons
coupled with Christian values and Biblical inferences which is wonderful
reading for all ages. As a senior citizen I have read it from cover
to cover and enjoyed every chapter. I will definitely recommend it
to my children and grandchildren as a classic.

As a three-time
Teacher of the Year, I can fully recommend The King of the Trees
for fun, adventure reading. The old theme of good vs. evil is replayed
in a refreshing setting. The plot and characters are believable and enjoyable.
While the end is predictable to older readers, children will love this
story. Parallels can be drawn between other good vs. evil plots including:
The Lord of the Rings; The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe; and many Bible
stories.
